Dog Days Inn & Cat House

Daycare/Boarding Agreement

OWNER UNDERSTANDS THE RISKS INVOLVED IN “FREE PLAY” AT DAYCARE AND ACCEPTS THAT SOME INJURIES MAY RESULT FROM SUCH INTERACTIONS. I authorize Dog Days Inn & Cat House to allow my dog(s) to engage in social play with other dogs. In doing so, I understand my dog(s) may become injured by interacting with other dogs. I also understand that Dog Days Inn & Cat House has evaluated the personalities of all dogs engaged in play, will supervise the playtimes, and will use reasonable care to ensure that no injuries result. However, in the event that an injury does occur to my dog(s) during group play, I agree to hold Dog Days Inn & Cat House harmless from damages resulting from such injury. I agree to pay all veterinary charges required to properly treat my dog(s) for such injury.

I understand that all dogs at Dog Days Inn & Cat House are vaccinated and healthy, but that there are viruses (e.g., colds, bordetella) that cannot be fully vaccinated against and that in a social setting such as daycare, my dog may be exposed to such. Dog Days Inn & Cat House follows the American Boarding Kennels Association recommendation requiring the bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccination semi-annually. However, the vaccine does not guarantee the pet will not contract it, it makes the likely hood less and if they do, the severity and duration will be less than without the vaccine. We will be happy to explain this to you in more detail if you have further questions. The Bordetella/Kennel cough virus is the same risk as a person takes putting their child in daycare.

I understand that on entering Dog Days Inn & Cat House my pet(s) will be examined for fleas. If fleas are found, flea treatment will be administered at my expense. My pet(s) will be taken out of group play for a period of 2 hours, in order to allow the flea treatment to work without exposing the other dogs in play.

I understand that “off-leash” areas are used at my own risk. While the designated areas are fenced in, no fence is airtight. Dog Days Inn & Cat House is not responsible for any dog that is able to escape from “off-leash” areas.

As the pet owner you are responsible for any items brought into Dog Days Inn & Cat House. Dog Days Inn & Cat House is not responsible for any damage or loss to such items as toys, food, bowls, beds, etc; Dog Days Inn & Cat House will take every step possible to ensure their return.

Any pet that is left in our facility for more than seven (7) days beyond its expected departure date with no contact to us by its owner will be considered abandoned and will be adopted out or disposed of at our discretion.

I understand that my pet’s diet may have varied while away from home. It may have barked at other pets; or the temperature and humidity may have been slightly different from home. This can create problems such as sore throat, tonsillitis, or diarrhea. We seek to prevent such problems, but you must understand that these problems do sometimes develop, even with the best of care. Any pet that requires veterinary attention will receive it at our discretion, and the owner will be charged appropriate fees for all treatment and medication needed for reasons that are not directly under our control.

I further certify that my pet or pets have NOT harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any animal.
